Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion Review

Another BB review again! You know how I like BB creams, and it seems like I can’t stop myself from wanting to try new bb, especially if it is raved about by many. So when I read a lot of positive reviews about Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion with SPF 50 + Pa +++, I was convinced and I immediately put it on my wish list.
image
imageTheir beautiful endorser is Song Hye Kyo + their new Homme endorser, the cute flower boy Song Joong Ki! (Click this for Model Story of Song Hye Kyo andSong Joong Ki) <3 ~~oh gorgeous people.
What is this Snow BB Soothing Cushion?

I tried the product when I went to Laneige in Robinsons Galleria, it has 4 shades (13 True Beige, 21 Natural Beige, 23 Sand Baige, and 31 Brown Beige). The SA asked me if my skin is acidic and I said yes, so she recommended the shade 13 and tried it on the back of my hand, (since its not so hygienic to try it on the face because of the sponge & cushion) and its pretty good but still I’m quite hesitant and thinking 13, maybe too light for me.  (~the SA is kind I must say^^)
Last February, my sister went to South Korea for their international tour (yeah, I’m super envious, I just think her course is awesome. I’m a bitter sister. ~~haha^^) And I asked her to buy stuffs for me (Korean cosmetics are cheaper there of course!^^). Top on my list it this.

You may notice it has a different box, not white+pink but a silver+black one instead, but the compact is just the same.  Its 37,000 won, so maybe about P1400. Its P1950 here.

I decided to get the shade 21 Natural Beige, and I think I got the right shade. :) image
What’s inside? The compact + refill

Love this puff.^^

Don’t be fooled by color of the cushion, try it to get the right shade.

What I like:
  • SPF 50 + PA +++ I don’t need to apply a separate sunscreen anymore!
  • Gives an instant brightening effect
  • Dewy and natural finish
  • Covers the redness on my face
  • Light to medium coverage and it doesn’t feel heavy
  • Its easy to apply and blend
  • I didn’t get pimples
  • It doesn’t have a strong smell
  • The puff! I love how the sponge works, it doesn’t absorb the bb so you get the product instead of the sponge absorbing it. And it dries quick, but….I’ll put it below.
  • The puff has a separate compartment and it has a mirror
  • It comes with a refill, so yes I’m glad its refillable.
  • It comes in different shades
What I don’t
  • Its hard to clean the puff sponge!
Neutral
  • The oil control. I just wish it has a better oil control
  • Though its quite pricey, I think its just okay since it comes with a refill, a refill alone is P950.

*This is my first time to use something from Laneige and it didn’t disappoint me, like it.^^ Thinking of getting the famous Laneige water sleeping pack next time maybe? ^^
Trivia: Do you know that Laneige, Etude House, Innisfree and more… are under one company? Okay I know these 3 are under AMORE PACIFIC, but I just found out recently that there are really a lot more brands under this big cosmetic company! MISSHA PERFECT COVER BB CREAM IN NO.21 REVIEW

******From my tumblr account www.whatsupmonica.tumblr.com curlsandblushingasian

Feb 26, 2012
Hello again! Missha Perfect Cover BB cream is also one of the hottest bb around and a talk of the town, so I might as well have it and try it for myself to see. So here my quick review on Missha Perfect Cover BB cream in shade 21.
image
M Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF 42 PA+++
Blemish Balm, also called BB Cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to soothe and regenerate the skin.

The M Perfect Cover BB Cream gives an even and natural-looking coverage with the soothing, moisturising properties of a cream. It is suitable for all skin types including acne-prone skin, and can be used as a makeup base or foundation.
Whitening + Anti-Wrinkle + UV Protection (SPF 42 PA+++)
***I have this small bottle (I didn’t get the full size yet because I want to test it first) which I got from Kkochi Pida last January.
image
This is small (cute size) perfect for your travel kit.
image
Others said that it only has 2 shades which is the #21 and #23 which are pretty fair. But I searched on the official Missha site and found that there are actually 5 shades. You can check the misshaus.com

this has the squeeze type tube. the full size has the pump.

I like it because of:
- The texture..the formula is easy to blend! it’s not thick.
- the shade..the color matches with my skin
- it has spf 42 PA +++
- anti wrinkle property and whitening (though i haven’t really noticed any whitening effect because I don’t use it everyday maybe?)
- it has a good and natural coverage which i think perfect for everyday make up
- dewy look
- it doesn’t feel heavy on my face
- no problem with the smell
- didn’t break me out
BUT….
- it has no oil control
- with our weather condition, it doesn't stay till the end of the day
- its pricey in local stores, that’s why i bought it online.
sooooo… I think this BB cream is okay, I like it.. though its not something that’s really super different from other BB for me. I just like the fact that its like a moisturizer, a sunscreen, primer and foundation in one. Very natural looking :). I just hope it has an oil control property. I recommend this to those who wants a light-medium coverage and a natural look. :)

Update………………………………… I have to say this, this is now my favorite BB cream! My skin and this bb just got along well. <3

SKIN79 Hot Pink Super Plus Beblesh Balm Review

******From my tumblr account www.whatsupmonica.tumblr.com curlsandblushingasian
Jan. 08, 2012
Hello everyone! So I’m going to review Skin79 BB cream in hot pink. I researched about the product before I bought it, and read many positive reviews. Of course there are also some who got negative reviews, but I decided that I wanted to try it for my self and see. So for more info about one of the hottest BB in town (even in america!), here are some photos I got from Skin79 north america’s site. :)
image
image
There are a lot of fake BB creams being sold around Ebay and other online shops. So they now have the upgraded version and here are some details you have to look for in your bb cream to make sure its authentic.
image

(Photos above are from: Skin79’s site)
So now, this is my Skin79 bb cream in hot pink. I bought it for only P780.00 from Han Ryu, she’s very nice and I received the package fast! :)
image
image
Original box should have that dotted lines. And everything is written in english.
image
image
Yay! It has an expiration date! Check for this too, fake one doesn’t have this.
image
It also has the skin79 logos, korean and chinese info printed inside.
image
The big BB label and the text should reflect on light.
image
-I read from other blogs that fake ones has a website written, while the authentic one doesn’t have.
image
And the most important of all: The Authenticity sticker.
image
a little product on the back of my hand.
image
blend blend! it has a gray-ish undertone. but it blends well after.
image
It has a light-medium coverage.
What I like?
- As what it claims: whitening, spf 24 Pa++ and wrinkle free.
- The packaging is cute! though i’m not a fan of pink, i still like it! hot pink is cool! :)
- I love the pump! it’s not messy and its really easy to control!
- It’s oil control! I get less oily when I’m using this! ( I always top this with the Guen Red Box Makeup powder) I just have to blot on my T-zone, my cheeks are not that oily. Though it doesn’t give me that dewy look that I want, it’s okay.
- Mild smell. got no problem with it.
- No sticky feeling.
- No breakouts.
What I don’t like ?
-grayish undertone. I think yellow undertone looks better for me.
- A bit thick, but then blends smoothly.
- available in one shade only
- not yet locally available. But there are online shops anyway, just be careful on buying stuffs online :)

THE FACE SHOP HYDRO SPLASH BB CREAM REVIEW

******From my tumblr account www.whatsupmonica.tumblr.com curlsandblushingasian

Hello chingus! :) So this has been on my drawer for a while, and finally decided to give it a try. When I went to The Face Shop before, I was looking for the Face it Waterproof BB since I had read positive reviews about it. But sadly, it’s not available in ph.:( So I was choosing between hydro splash and aqua tint, and ended up with Hydro Splash—without much knowledge about this bb since I’m not really supposed to buy this. This is my first BB from TFS btw…

packaging^^doesn’t look cheap..
there’s an english description^^ Yes I was kinda hesitant to buy this since its hydro splash (will moisturize skin? for dry skin?) but the SA told me its also good for combi-oily since it is water based (as I know, water based products are better for oily skin).
not the usual pump that most bb creams would have. it is sealed!^^
color^^ it only have one shade. its a bit thick at first but gets watery when you blend it. :)
blend blend. at first it looks dark, but when it blends fully, it will blend to your skin tone…
i don’t wear any make up here except for the bb. look at those eye bags! see the difference?
What I like?
- with SPF
- water based
- good coverage~~~covered those dark circles :)
- price is cheaper compared to other bb creams
- light scent
- moisturizing
- stays long
- dewy look
What I don’t like?
- I don’t know but it kinda looks grey-ish in the beginning. (greyish undertone?)
- my t-zone still gets oily. so no oil control..
i haven’t use it for one whole week straight yet, just a couple of days and so far, it didn’t break me out. I would like to try out the waterproof bb, hope it will be available here..:)
