Etude House Water Color Blusher (No. 2 Coral) Review

image
Have you used a watercolor that looks like this in your art class during your elementary school days? I use the one that looks like an eyeshadow palette but I also saw the one in small tubes before.^^ Anyway, so for today I’ll share with you my review on Etude House Water Color Blusher in No.2 Coral. :) Honestly as soon as I saw this on the internet, I wanted to have it because of the cute packaging.^^ So yes, I bought it even though I haven’t read much reviews about this before, and I think I trust Etude House products so I’m not really worried buying it ;)
image
It has manufacturing date above. Nothing much is written at the back, no list of ingredients or English information.
image
(Photo above is from Etude House Philippines FB. Its available for Php348.00)
Etude House Water Color Blusher is available in 4 colors.^^
image
Here, just to compare its size. Its small and comes in a squeeze type tube.
image
It is sealed, so you’re sure that you get a new product. Its cap is okay, it keeps the product closed tightly so you don’t have to worry about it leaking on your makeup pouch.
image
For first time users, just be careful in squeezing out the blush, you may accidentally end up getting much product. A tiny amount is enough. :)
image
What I like?
- Cute and unique packaging. As expected from etude^^
- It has a seal.
- Hygienic to use since its on a squeeze type tube.
- It feels light on skin and its not sticky. Its cream type (actually its quite watery) so its easy to apply and blend too.
- Gives a natural color, very wearable for everyday use.
- No breakouts!^^
- The tip/ opening or hole (whatever you call it^^) of the tube is just the right size, it small so its easy to control how much product you’d like to get.
- A little goes a long way. But if you are going to use this everyday, of course you’ll finish this little baby sooner.
- Its sheer but you can build up its color pay off.
- It smells nice but fades away after few minutes. I’m not sure though if others would like its smell.
- Its available in 4 colors (pink, coral, apricot and lilac)
- Affordable
- Its small and light, you can bring it along anywhere.
What I don’t:
- No list of ingredients.
Neutral:
- It doesn't last all day. It just stays for about 3-4 hours and eventually fades. You may want to bring it along and reapply if you want.
Overall, I like this Water Color Blusher from Etude House. Color and price is good. The packaging is really unique, cute and handy. I have combination-oily skin and it works just fine, I think it will suit any skin types.^^ By the way, Etude House will have their PLAYHOUSE PRINCESS  ACADEMY on July. Are you going? I don’t have a ticket yet, can’t go to EH because of my duty schedule. I’m planning to visit any etude house branch tomorrow to get one (but I hope there are still available tickets since everyone really wants to join the event.~~) I missed the Pink fair so I hope I could go on this one. I’ll post an update if ever I’d get a ticket^^

Etude House CC Cream Silky Review

Annyeonghaseyo! eotteohge dangsin-eun?^^ CC cream is getting more popular today, so yes, I joined the craze to find out what's with cc creams. :) I decided to try Etude House's CC cream in Silky first (yeah, I'm thinking of getting another one but still looking for reviews).
image
I wanted the glow version too, but I'm afraid it will not suit my combination-oily skin especially with our hot and humid weather (yes even if its already rainy season now, its still hot most of the time -_-) So yes, I decided to try the silky version. The packaging is simple and pretty, as expected from Etude House.^^
image
For more info about this cc cream, let the following photos do the talking.:))

CC Cream is basically something that corrects and has more skin care benefits, if you want more coverage/ makeup, then you may use BB cream. :)
image
This is P798 in Etude House PH stores. Got mine from Kkochipida :)
image
The pump is good and dispense just the right amount of product you need.
image
This cc cream is also white at first with tiny beads ( color capsules?) but blends and adjusts to your own skin color.
image
Eyebrow pencil + EH CC Cream + EH Water color blusher + lip balm.

What I like:
- It has spf 30/ PA ++
- 8 in 1 functional effects
- Packaging, I like it white, simple and clean looking.
- The pump is good
- Information and direction for use is provided in English
- Scent is okay
- Oil control is okay, its pretty fair if I'm in an air-conditioned room but if I'm outside, I still have to blot.
- Semi matte finish but there is still a hint of dewy/ glow^^
- Gives some pore coverage
- Does not oxidize on my skin
- It didn't break me out
- It feels light on skin and its not sticky.
- Its texture, it not too creamy nor too watery. Its easy to apply and blend.
- One or two pumps are enough.
- Locally available :)

What I don't:
- My skin may get too white if applied too much or not blended properly.

CC cream has a sheer coverage, so it can't really cover much like pimples, scars or dark spots. It can be used alone if you have a pretty good skin or during your nice skin days (what did I say? :O ) but if not, you can use it as a base and put bb cream on top. :) Use a moisturizer on dry areas before applying this. So far I can't say that I love it to the point that I would throw away my bb creams, but I like it. :) I sometimes use this alone, or pat on a little bb cream on top. Let's just say, I use different things according to my mood or whatever I feel like using.^^ I'm still curious about the Glow version though and would like to try it. (Can anyone throw a sample for me? lol. haha) Okay till here. See you on my next post. :)

Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion Review

Another BB review again! You know how I like BB creams, and it seems like I can’t stop myself from wanting to try new bb, especially if it is raved about by many. So when I read a lot of positive reviews about Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion with SPF 50 + Pa +++, I was convinced and I immediately put it on my wish list.
image
imageTheir beautiful endorser is Song Hye Kyo + their new Homme endorser, the cute flower boy Song Joong Ki! (Click this for Model Story of Song Hye Kyo andSong Joong Ki) <3 ~~oh gorgeous people.
What is this Snow BB Soothing Cushion?
image
image
I tried the product when I went to Laneige in Robinsons Galleria, it has 4 shades (13 True Beige, 21 Natural Beige, 23 Sand Baige, and 31 Brown Beige). The SA asked me if my skin is acidic and I said yes, so she recommended the shade 13 and tried it on the back of my hand, (since its not so hygienic to try it on the face because of the sponge & cushion) and its pretty good but still I’m quite hesitant and thinking 13, maybe too light for me.  (~the SA is kind I must say^^)
Last February, my sister went to South Korea for their international tour (yeah, I’m super envious, I just think her course is awesome. I’m a bitter sister. ~~haha^^) And I asked her to buy stuffs for me (Korean cosmetics are cheaper there of course!^^). Top on my list it this.
image
You may notice it has a different box, not white+pink but a silver+black one instead, but the compact is just the same.  Its 37,000 won, so maybe about P1400. Its P1950 here.
image
I decided to get the shade 21 Natural Beige, and I think I got the right shade. :) image
What’s inside? The compact + refill

Love this puff.^^

Don’t be fooled by color of the cushion, try it to get the right shade.

What I like:
  • SPF 50 + PA +++ I don’t need to apply a separate sunscreen anymore!
  • Gives an instant brightening effect
  • Dewy and natural finish
  • Covers the redness on my face
  • Light to medium coverage and it doesn’t feel heavy
  • Its easy to apply and blend
  • I didn’t get pimples
  • It doesn’t have a strong smell
  • The puff! I love how the sponge works, it doesn’t absorb the bb so you get the product instead of the sponge absorbing it. And it dries quick, but….I’ll put it below.
  • The puff has a separate compartment and it has a mirror
  • It comes with a refill, so yes I’m glad its refillable.
  • It comes in different shades
What I don’t
  • Its hard to clean the puff sponge!
Neutral
  • The oil control. I just wish it has a better oil control
  • Though its quite pricey, I think its just okay since it comes with a refill, a refill alone is P950.

L: No makeup R: With Laneige Snow BB soothing cushion (no primer and concealer~~)

*This is my first time to use something from Laneige and it didn’t disappoint me, like it.^^ Thinking of getting the famous Laneige water sleeping pack next time maybe? ^^
Trivia: Do you know that Laneige, Etude House, Innisfree and more… are under one company? Okay I know these 3 are under AMORE PACIFIC, but I just found out recently that there are really a lot more brands under this big cosmetic company! *I don’t know when will I get tired of trying out bb creams, cc is coming but I still have bb creams on my wish list that I want to try.^^ Do you know any good cc cream that you can recommend? :)

Innisfree Green Tea Mineral Mist Review

Have you heard of Innisfree? Since it will be my first time to try and make a review about this korean brand, I’ll post a little background here first.
image
image
image
Do you know Yoona from SNSD (Girl’s Generation)? She is the endorser of this brand. If you are a kpop and kdrama fan, I’m sure you know her.
image
And of course, Lee Min Ho oppa <3 why so handsome? :”)
image
As of now, its not yet available locally. I’ve never tried any of their products, that’s why my sister got some items from Innisfree too when she visited Korea last month.
image
I will review the mist for now and others…to follow^^
image
I like to use facial mist before and after makeup, and anytime of the day to freshen up, ~~ summer is just around the corner too so its perfect..
image
Ugh, I like this Limited Edition!!! But I got the original one. I guess this is not available anymore.
image
image
image
image
Well I can’t read korean hangul, but based on my research, 4-Free system means that its free of artificial dyes, ethanol, animal material and mineral oil.
image
I got the 50 ml which is 5000 won. I just want a small one so that I could bring it with me anywhere, and I’ve never finished a bottle of facial mist.^^ There is a bigger size too which is 150 ml.  It has a simple design and a small sticker to serve as a seal.
image
Manufacturing Date on the bottom
image
I just tried spraying it. (Etude House Wannabe Moisture Fix Mist vs. Innisfree Green Tea Mineral Mist.)
image
What I like:
  • Packaging (I like cute things but I like simple things too )
  • Refreshing
  • Light weight packaging, I can bring it with me anywhere
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Free from those 4 chemicals
  • 100% Organic Green Tea Mineral
  • Contains natural ingredients
  • Has a seal
  • Its cheap, for only 5000 won = P187
What I don’t
  • the mist spray! I mean its not so fine like my Etude House Wanna be mist or the collagen moistful mist. :( I can see small droplets of liquid on my face when I spray it. Ang lakas.
Neutral:
  • The green tea scent. I drink green tea and sometimes use the tea bag on my face, but the smell of this is quite like a strong herbal tea, but it also fades away after few seconds.
So that’s it. Till my next post. Hope you’re having a great week! :)
<3 Monica
