Holika Holika Cover and Hiding Liquid Concealer Review

Hello! Its been a week since the last time I posted a review. I’m sorry, I’m usually tired after my duty that I chose to just sleep or read other’s blogs when I’m at home. Hopefully I could have at least 2 or 3 posts this week. So let’s start with Holika Holika’s Cover and Hiding liquid concealer.^^
image
“Holika Holika Cover & Hiding Liquid Concealer will conceal your blemishes, dark circles or any other skin imperfections that you may have. With its liquid formula, you can easily apply it anywhere and blend it into your skin. The tube of the concealer is fairly large so you will have plenty to use for long periods of time. The formula itself is smooth and silky so you won’t have any issues with clumping or drying.”
image
Benefits:
                                                                   Smooth formula
                                                                   Great coverage
                                                                      Longlasting
                                                           Lots of formula per bottle
image
Directions: Apply directly onto any blemishes, dark circles or other skin imperfections prior to makeup application. You can apply lotion or a moisturizer beforehand. Blend out with pad of ring finger or brush. Continue with regular makeup regime.
I don’t usually use concealers, because I’m okay with BB creams alone. But since I have this and got 2 little pimples 2 weeks ago (maybe because of lack of sleep.-_- But hooray, they’re gone now!^^), I tried using it. So here, I’m going to show you a photo of my cheek.
image
See those two red bumps? Its annoying, but let’s not be stressed by it, it will be gone after few days. For the mean time, we could use concealers to cover it a bit. The redness lighten a bit right?
image
Holika Holika Concealer + BB cream from Innisfree (will review soon^^)
I also did a test on my arm..
image
What I like:
-Since its a liquid concealer, I find it easy to apply and blend.
- Mild smell.
- Light to medium coverage
- Tones down the redness of my pimple
- Semi matte finish
- It matches my skin, gives a natural look
- A little goes a long way
- Packaging is okay, its simple and not bulky.
- Its affordable! (5900 won)
What I don’t:
-Its not yet available locally. But with the product, I can’t think of any.^^
Neutral:
--There are only 2 shades available: light beige and natural beige, I’m not sure if it will suit morena or darker skin tone.

Tip: to avoid dry patches or caking, use a moisturizer before applying this. I notice some dryness on my sister’s blemishes/ pimple marks when she used this. But I didn’t experience that dryness.
~This is a good and affordable concealer. Feels light on skin and easy to apply. I can compare this with Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer but Holika Holika has a lighter coverage.

Tony Moly Berry Berry Magic Lip Tint Review

Hello! How are you? I’m back with a quick review. ~~ Have to post this before meeting up with my friends later.^^  Here is a lip product from Tony Moly…
image
This gel type tint magically changes its color once you apply it on your lips.^^
image
It comes in 3 different colors. 01- Clear, 02- Apple Green and 03- Purple Grapes. I have the clear one. I’m not sure but I think all has the same effect.
image
For me, its not love/like at first use. I really have a dry lips so when I first used it, it didn’t really moisturized my lips. I thought its just sticky, maybe even drying and just one of those color changing balms. Then I used another lip balms and when my lips were in good condition, I gave this a second try and now its okay for me, I can finally use this again.^^
image
L: Bare lips R: With Tony Moly Berry Berry Magic Lip Tint
image
*It looks more pigmented in person
What I like:
- Its fruity scent!^^
- Its color! And it last for about 3-4 hours
- Small and light weight
-The gel doesn’t melt even its super hot these days, well its like a balm type tint.
- A little goes a long way, so I think this little tub will last for months.
- Affordable! P198 only. And you can purchase it locally :)
What I don’t:
-Not hygienic since I have to use my little finger. I know I can use a lip brush but most of the time, I’m too lazy to use one. ~~
-Since I use my little finger, its always color pink because the tint.
-Its sticky when you first apply it.
Neutral:
--Its moisturizing power (again, For Me. If you have a normal lips I think this will moisturize your lips well.)

I like this! I can sweep it on my lips so that I won’t looks pale, then I’m good to go! I think this is something really worth to buy, its affordable plus it can give your lips an instant color! If you are in a hurry or you are not really into lipsticks but want to have a pinkish/ reddish lips, go and try this magic lip tint from Tony Moly. :)

Too Cool For School is now in the Philippines!

Hello again! BRAND ALERT!: Too Cool For School is now in the Philippines! They now opened their first store in SM Mall of Asia. When I read about it, I wanted to go and visit their store. Too Cool for School is a unique cosmetic brand from Korea. Its all about a story of a girl who is too glamorous to just go to school. Anyway, as much as I wanted to take pictures inside the store, I got shy to ask if I could or if I will be allowed to do so. Sorry. So I just went around and checked out their products. The packaging are cute and unique, well their store is actually unique and cute too, not your ordinary super girly designs but its actually kinda creepy because of the medicine bottles and dolls but also cute in its own way. Who would have thought of designing their stuffs with dinosaurs?
You can find their store in Mall of Asia Entertainment Mall Level 2 Glass House near South Parking, Upper level of Krispy Kreme.
I got a small brown paper bag because I just got few little stuffs. They actually have the yellow paper bag if you'll purchase more items.
There were a lot of interesting products to try, but right now I'm kinda restraining myself from splurging for new stuffs as I have bough quite a lot of things last month. I just got the mini version of their BB Foundation Lunch Box in matte and 2 sachets of Mc Girly Good Morning Rice Wash. But I'll definitely go back for more especially their Dinoplatz Escalator Mascara, its really something different and cool! Its an adjustable mascara with cute design! The SA who assisted me is kind and nice btw! I hope Too Cool for School will have more branches soon! *Somewhere in Ortigas please?^^

Annyeonghaseyo! :) This post is super duper late. :( I won Korea Cosmetics’ giveaway a very long time ago. I was super thankful and cannot believe I won during that time. A lot were curious about these products including me. But at the same time, I was so busy with school. I didn’t had the time to publish or do a complete review on these lovely gifts. I found this incomplete post on my drafts, its been there for a very long time. (you may notice, my url on the photos is the old one curlsandblushingasian.tumblr.com) I thought I’ll just delete it and move on, make new posts. But I feel guilty. :( Especially to Korea Cosmetics, who gave me these. :(
This post is just to give you some idea about these products. :)

image
My mom and I went to the post office to get this box. So happy and excited that time.^^
image
The box is damaged, but the products inside are in good condition. Thanks bubble wrappers. :p
image
Cute note from Ms. Rachelle Jung of Korea Cosmetics. :) (and I promised I’ll make a review -_- ~~shoot me nowww for a very late post. :(( )
image
Yes, they gave me the whole set. Do I deserve this? :| ok, enough drama.. :)
image
image
This mist is…refreshing?. :)) I think its the same with the other mists, gives you vitamins and all the good things for your skin. It hydrates your skin before applying make up. May use after makeup as well.
image
image
image
image
This one is the highlighter which is color beige/ natural. Its shimmery I just use a very little amount of this, just to highlight some parts of my face. Honestly I don’t use it often, my face looks so oily especially if apply too much. It has a creamy- powdery texture.
image
image
image
image
A little amount of this liquid foundation is enough. Its creamy and easy to apply. It gives natural coverage. It comes with 2 sponges but I prefer using either stippling brush or my fingers. haha. :)) I’m not used with sponges though Korean make up artist recommend using the sponge. It has spf 20/ PA++ and in shade 21.
image
image
image
This is the powder after applying the foundation. Apply it all over the face. I’m not sure if it has different shades but mine is in 01. This is light and has a natural finish.
image
I use this big brush. I super love it! <3 <3 <3 Super soft and it doesn’t bleed that much when I wash it.
image
image
image
image
This outlines/ contours your face. It also comes with a smaller angled brush that is perfect when you apply it along your forehead, nose and jaw line. This one is in shade 01 too.
image
image
This is the cover concealer and the lip gloss. Very handy. I like the concealer which covers my blemishes. The rouge gloss has shimmers, and a bit sticky but not really a problem. Will make your lips pink, shiny and kissable. kekeke^^ It has a built in lip brush by the way.
For another reviews that I find really really helpful (to know the step by step on how to use these), because I can’t read Korean, and everything on the descriptions on the box are in Korean hangul. Here, do check it out. The page is in Korean but I have a widget to translate everything in English (though its confusing because of the arrangement of words.)

MISSHA PERFECT COVER BB CREAM IN NO.21 REVIEW

******From my tumblr account www.whatsupmonica.tumblr.com curlsandblushingasian

Feb 26, 2012
Hello again! Missha Perfect Cover BB cream is also one of the hottest bb around and a talk of the town, so I might as well have it and try it for myself to see. So here my quick review on Missha Perfect Cover BB cream in shade 21.
image
M Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF 42 PA+++
Blemish Balm, also called BB Cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to soothe and regenerate the skin.

The M Perfect Cover BB Cream gives an even and natural-looking coverage with the soothing, moisturising properties of a cream. It is suitable for all skin types including acne-prone skin, and can be used as a makeup base or foundation.
Whitening + Anti-Wrinkle + UV Protection (SPF 42 PA+++)
***I have this small bottle (I didn’t get the full size yet because I want to test it first) which I got from Kkochi Pida last January.
image
This is small (cute size) perfect for your travel kit.
image
Others said that it only has 2 shades which is the #21 and #23 which are pretty fair. But I searched on the official Missha site and found that there are actually 5 shades. You can check the misshaus.com
image
this has the squeeze type tube. the full size has the pump.
image
image
image
image

I like it because of:
- The texture..the formula is easy to blend! it’s not thick.
- the shade..the color matches with my skin
- it has spf 42 PA +++
- anti wrinkle property and whitening (though i haven’t really noticed any whitening effect because I don’t use it everyday maybe?)
- it has a good and natural coverage which i think perfect for everyday make up
- dewy look
- it doesn’t feel heavy on my face
- no problem with the smell
- didn’t break me out
BUT….
- it has no oil control
- with our weather condition, it doesn't stay till the end of the day
- its pricey in local stores, that’s why i bought it online.
sooooo… I think this BB cream is okay, I like it.. though its not something that’s really super different from other BB for me. I just like the fact that its like a moisturizer, a sunscreen, primer and foundation in one. Very natural looking :). I just hope it has an oil control property. I recommend this to those who wants a light-medium coverage and a natural look. :)
<3 Monica

Update………………………………… I have to say this, this is now my favorite BB cream! My skin and this bb just got along well. <3

ETUDE HOUSE PRECIOUS MINERAL BB CREAM ALL DAY STRONG SHEER GLOWING SKIN REVIEW

******From my tumblr account www.whatsupmonica.tumblr.com curlsandblushingasian

Hello! I know I haven’t posted any bb cream reviews yet, but I’ve been using bb creams (and loving it) since I started buying Korean cosmetics. Actually the first thing I ever bought from Etude House is BB cream (because I’m curious about this product..Referred to as the secret of Korean actresses, and the no make up look, which means you will look very pretty naturally.:) ) Oh well enough with the intro, I know you guys know pretty much about BB creams already.:)

Precious Mineral BB Cream All Day Strong is the BB I use as of the moment (current fave and I use it often^^) I don’t really wear make up before but now, I almost always use BB when I’m going out.
But this is not my first BB. The one below is the very first bb I had (I guess I’ll just post my comment on the BB below on my next post, because as you can see, I already finished the whole thing (even before I started blogging, so I can’t show you its content anymore, ..)
<3 you won’t look oily, you’ll look glowing, ..dewy skin :) (with the BB Magic Cream)
It has three shades. #1 is the Sheer Silky Skin which is the lightest, #2 Sheer Glowing Skin which is the medium, and #3 Sheer Flawless Skin. Before the All Day Strong came out, they have the same bb but without the ADS, sheer silky is for oily skin, Glowing is for dry skin. I got the Silky Skin first since its for oily, but when the all day strong arrived, the SA told me that all the shades are for all skin types, so its still okay to use the #2 or 3 since its for all skin types. So I decided to give a try on #2, since it matches my shade than #1.
The pump. I’m warning you, you have to familiarize yourself on how this pump works. I read on other blogs that others are also having a problem with the pump, because the product tends to squirt out if you pump it fully(accidentally.haha.:)) It happened to me, its all over the mirror and table, and just this morning a friend borrowed this and tried, okay, I got BB cream on the back of my shirt! good thing I’m not wearing white! (my makulit na friend tried it before too, and my laptop and her bag got some dose of BB too„sayang! but its ok^^)
color^^
it really matches my skin! :)
What I love?
- cute packaging
- blends well on skin..it looks natural!^^ no make-up look!
- has spf
- hypoallergenic and oil free
- Anti-wrinkle & whitening
- Anti-darkening
- the pump because its hygienic
- dewy effect
- Price is okay compared to other BB creams :)
- No breakouts
- Smell is ok^^
- easy to apply! you can use your fingers! :P when I don’t feel like putting much on my skin before going to school, I just put on some bb and i’m good to go. :)
What I don’t love?
- it dries pretty quick
- the pump (because it squirts out) but if you are used to it i guess you will have no prob with it.
- oil control is not really good for me. still have to blot and put powder.
More BB reviews next time :) Keep safe everyone! :) Annyong!:)
